Magical mirrors are not only found in fairy tales.

In Japan, the world’s oldest magical mirrors were recently discovered in a tomb near Higashinumia.

What is a Magical Mirror?

In the seventeenth century, Algerian Christians used these mirrors to pray.

Currently, these bronze mirrors are held at the Kyoto National Museum.

This discovery can reflect the use and efficiency of mirrors in ancient religion.
